Portadown Male Voice Choir.

A new partnership established by Country Comes To Town in 2017. After you’ve covered miles around the town centre during the day, there’s an opportunity to sit back and relax in the comfort of Portadown’s Town Hall whilst you enjoy the melodic strains of not one but two wonderful award-winning male voice choirs. Portadown Male Voice Choir is poised to provide a wonderful evening of that highly prized entertainment which brings them international awards year after year. Led by their highly acclaimed Director, Gordon Speers BEM, the choir has joined in friendship with Macclesfield Male Voice Choir which was formed 61 years and, under its Director David Court, has won many awards and travelled widely to venues in Canada, Germany, Denmark and the Czech Republic. This event promises to provide Portadown with a unique opportunity to hear some wonderful music and song. Macclesfield accompanist Tatyna Goncharuk is a fabulous classically trained pianist. And Portadown’s accompanist, Stephen Bell is no less accomplished. His renditions of Scott Joplyn music are fantastic! This event commences on 16th September in the Town Hall at 8.00pm. Tickets, at £10, are available from members of Portadown Male Voice Choir or from Winnies from The Town Hall itself. We’ll bet everyone attending has a night to remember!
